چکیده مقاله:

Environmental conditions in natural ecosystems have led to the establishment of typical ecosystem in everywhere. In one of thecentral regions of Iran (located in the west of the city of Qom), a microbial ecosystem has been established in the place ofunderground water springs due to the suitable conditions for the bloom of these microorganism. These conditions include extremesalinity, high nutrients level and particularly being uninhabitable for eukaryotic organisms and predators. According to thephysico-biochemical conditions of the ecosystem, the dominant population changes so that, in the presence of sufficient light, oxygen and carbon dioxide, the autotroph, aerobic and photosynthesizing population proliferate. Contrary, the conditions of lowlight and oxygen, heterotrophic and anaerobic populations are dominant. In both cases, travertine microbial sediments are formedin the region by the activity of microbes through two active and passive processes.
